Add Notes to Your Trades in Your Trading Journal

We’re excited to introduce a new “notes” column to your trading journal, designed to help you document your trading thoughts, strategies, and observations directly within your trade table. This feature allows you to capture valuable context for each trade, making your journal an even more powerful tool for analysis and improvement.

How to Add the “Notes” Column:

  1. Access the Settings: Navigate to your trade journal and locate the settings icon in the upper right-hand corner of the trade table. Click on it.
  2. Edit Columns: This will open a modal window or menu allowing you to edit or manage the columns displayed in your trade table.
  3. Add the “Notes” Column: Find the “notes” column in the list of available columns and add it to your list of selected columns. You can typically do this by checking a box or dragging and dropping the column name.
  4. Save Changes: Ensure you save your changes to the trade table settings.

How to Add and View Trade Notes:

Once the “notes” column is added, you can add notes to individual trades.

  1. Viewing a Note: If a note is present for a trade, a notes icon will be visible in the cell. Click on this icon to view the existing note.
  2. Adding a Note: Simply hover your mouse over the cell in the “notes” column for the trade you want to add a note to. An “add note” icon will appear. Click on this icon to open a text box where you can enter your notes.
